The Northwood Community Improvement Corporation (CIC) is a non-profit economic development organization dedicated to strengthening the long-term vitality of the City of Northwood, Ohio.

The CIC works in partnership with the City of Northwood, local businesses, property owners, regional partners, and state agencies to support responsible growth, job creation, and reinvestment in the community. Our focus is on initiatives that improve the tax base, enhance infrastructure readiness, and help existing businesses succeed while attracting new opportunities to Northwood.

Guided by a volunteer Board of Trustees, the CIC serves as a flexible tool to advance projects that may be difficult to accomplish through traditional government channels alone. This includes supporting public-private partnerships, assisting with site planning and redevelopment, leveraging grants and incentive programs, and helping remove barriers to business expansion and investment.

At its core, the Northwood CIC exists to help shape a strong, sustainable future for the community—one that balances economic growth with quality of life for residents and businesses alike.
